General Sports Massage

Sports massage is a valuable tool at the disposal of runners and athletes alike.  It can make the difference between making the start line of a big race or breaking down in training and not getting anywhere near an event.  Prevention is better than cure.  With sports massage you are helping prevent injury, improve circulation, promote rapid removal of waste products, reduce muscles soreness, reduce fatigue and increase range of motion to name a but a few of the benefits.

 

Injury treatment
Sports massage can also be used to treat specific soft tissue injuries and a wide variety of techniques and methods can be used to reduce the recovery time and help get you back running.

 

Pre-event Massage
Upcoming sports event or race? Get your mind and body ready for the race ahead. Our pre-event massage will help you run your event more focused and help to ward off injury, by preparing muscles and joints for the race ahead. 

 

Post-event Massage
Taking part in any event can be tough on the body.  The wear and tear aspect can tighten muscles up and limit flexibility.  Most runners even forget to cool down after events with very to little post race stretching.  Having a sports massage after any race is a great way to soothe/ease fatigue, tired tissues and prevent DOMS (delayed onset muscle soreness) allowing you to return to training sooner and help you prepare for your next event.
